Tuesday, November 6, 2012 is Election Day. Those of us registered to vote will turn out to cast our ballot for the next President of the United States, as well as, a whole host of local, state and national candidates.
One of my favorite tongue in cheek election phrases is, “Vote early. Vote often.”
I would prefer to avoid any political commentary in this blog and urge you to “Market early. Market often.”
As results roll in on election night, there will be quite a few people ordering catering. To profit from this upcoming election, you have a few options at your disposal.
1. Target Campaign Headquarters. Not all candidates will be renting out a fancy ballroom. Some smaller politicians will have get-togethers for staff and supporters in assorted venues from their homes to their offices. Many of these venues allow outside caterers.
Go by your local election board and pick up a copy of the ballot. I would target each campaign and see to their catering needs.
2. Target Media Outlets. Every television station and an assortment of other media outlets will be reporting results throughout the night. I remember picking up some catering orders on previous election nights.
The picture below is a marketing piece designed to help you go after the “election” catering business. If you click the picture, it will take you to the actual ad download on our Members-Only website, www.RestaurantProfitPoint.com
Just pull up the template and edit it for your market. This piece that looks like a sample ballot is sure to get some attention.
Regardless of your political affiliation, I urge you to support growing your restaurant through catering.
This is Michael Attias, and I approve this message.
